multimedia journalist // résumé

I am an award-winning multimedia journalist with experience in digital media, newspapers and television based in Dallas, Texas. Most recently, I was the first David Boardman Investigative Reporting Intern at The Seattle Times, where I report on Seattle officials and the interaction between mental health laws and guns. I was chosen out of 40 applicants for an internship in summer 2014 created to honor Boardman's commitment to investigative and accountability journalism.

I graduated summa cum laude in May 2014 with concurrent master's and bachelor's degrees from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

My daily and enterprise reporting has been published in outlets across the country, including The Seattle Times, The Arizona Republic, the Center for Public Integrity, The Times-Picayune and the Philadelphia Inquirer.

When I’m not in the newsroom or out reporting, you can find me watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, trying new red lipstick or hunting for the next great taco.

I'm available for employment in September 2014.
